After a twenty-eight year career in public accounting and government internal auditing, Linzey retired from government service in the spring of 2000 and returned from California to Oklahoma to establish a professional practice closer to his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Lindhout currently provides income tax, payroll and bookkeeping services to individuals and small business clients in and around Oklahoma City. He is also available to provide consulting services for the design and implementation of small business internal accounting and administrative control systems, as well as financial statement compilation services.

Condensed Professional Biography

Linzey W. Lindhout, CPA, CFE graduated from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan, in 1972, with a B.S. degree in Economics and Business Administration. Following graduation, he worked eight years for Alexander Grant & Co., CPAs (now Grant Thornton), the final three years as an Audit Manager, in his home town of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Lindhout relocated to Oklahoma City in 1980, where he worked two years as an Audit Manager for the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector, and two years for a local CPA firm. He also served as an adjunct accounting professor at Oklahoma City University prior to moving to California.

Lindhout joined the audit staff of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California in September 1985 as a senior auditor. He was promoted to Assistant General Auditor in October 1986, and served in that capacity until his retirement in April 2000.

Linzey is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in Oklahoma. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, as well as a Life Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
